- Fill in the application form and affix 2 colour photographs (3.5 x 4.5 cm.)
- Visa fee is 1,000 baht
- Applicants will get their passport back in the following working day from 13.30-15.30 hours.
♦ Non Immigrant Visa
This type of visa is issued for purposes of business, study, attending conference or seminar, film production, journalism, job volunteer, accompanying Thai spouse or family members or retirement.
1. validity of visa is 90 days
2. visa fee is 2,000 Baht (for single entry)
3. duration of stay permitted upon arrival is 90 days
- Non–Immigrant "B"
This type of visa is issued to applicant who wishes to enter the Kingdom for business purposes
Documents required are :
1. Recommendation letter addressed to the Embassy (stating about the employment and visa application) and accompanied with the certified copy of the ID of the endorser(s)
2. Employment contract
3. Form of the Employment Certification (

or Approval Letter from the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Thailand
5. Copy of corporate documents, namely;
- company registration certificate
- list of company shareholders
- memorandum of company’s regulation
- latest income tax statement
- latest registration of value added tax
For applicant who wishes
to work for an academic institute; as full or part-time teacher, tutor or teaching assistant, documents required are;
1. Official letter from the Ministry of Education of Thailand, or other sub-authorities concerned, approving the employment of foreign academic personnel
2. Recommendation letter addressed to the Embassy (stating about the employment and visa application) and accompanied with the certified copy of the ID of the endorser
3. Employment contract
4. Form of the Employment Certification
5. Copy of registration certificate of the concerned academic institute
6. Copy of applicant’s academic certificate/record
7. Copy of the recent police clearance or certificate of no criminal conviction.
8. Copy of the previous/current work permit (if any)
- Non–Immigrant "O"
This type of visa is issued to applicant who wishes to enter the Kingdom for the purpose of voluntary services, or accompanying Thai spouse or family members, or retirement.
For the purpose of accompanying spouse/family members, documents required are;
1. Copy of marriage certificate
2. Certified Copy of spouse’s ID card (in Thai)
3. Copy of house registration book (in Thailand)
4. Copy of bank statement (in Thailand)
5. Other relevant document, for example, copy of child’s birth certificate / ID card
For the purpose of voluntary services, documents required are;
1. Recommendation letter addressed to the Embassy
2. Copy of registration certificate of the employer/foundation/organisation
3. Copy of the previous/current work permit (if any)
4. Copy of the employment contract (if any)
For the purpose of long-stay retirement (an eligible person must be over 50 years of age), documents required are;
1. Curriculum Vitae
2. Official letter from the concerned Embassy/Consulate certifying the monthly income of at least 65,000 Baht
or Official letter from the Bank in Thailand certifying a valid account of at least 800,000 Baht, and is being held
not less than 3 months
3. Recent Police clearance or equivalent reference of no criminal conviction
4. Medical certificate
- Non–Immigrant "ED"
This type of visa is issued to applicant who wishes to enter the Kingdom for the purpose of studying, attending seminar, training session, or internship.
Document required are;
1. Letter of acceptance from the concerned academic institute/organisation
2. Copy of registration certificate of the concerned academic institute
3. For those who wish to study, an official letter from the Ministry of Education of Thailand, or other sub-authorities concerned, approving the enrolment of foreign students is also required
4. Academic record and the Student ID (if currently studying)
5. For those who wish to attend seminar, or training session, or internship, a recommendation letter from the concerned organisation addressed to the Embassy is also required

USEFUL INFORMATION
1. A tourist visa will enable the passport holder to stay in Thailand no longer than 60 days. However, there are certain nationalities that could travel to Thailand with visa exemption and could stay in the kingdom no longer than 30 days. Please see the list of countries with visa exemption below (the period of stay will be reduced to 15 days when arriving through land border checkpoints between Thailand and the Lao PDR, Cambodia, Malaysia and Myanmar).
