The Kingdom of Thailand and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic
share a long historical tie.
The year 2005 is an important milestone in the Thai-Lao history as it marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the Thai-Lao diplomatic relations. As such, Governments of the two countries are determined to further strengthen future cooperation in many areas including politics, security, economy, transportation, telecommunications, agriculture, tourism, education, technical, social and cultural exchanges.
