On 13 March 2024, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi paid a call on H.E. Mr. Athsaphangthong Siphandone, Governor of Vientiane Capital. Both sides discussed many issues of mutual interest including the preparation of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the 1st Thai - Lao Friendship Bridge (Nong Khai - Vientiane), co-hosted by Nong Khai Province and Vientiane Capital in April 2024. The preparations for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Lao PDR in 2025 were also discussed.
