On 26 May 2023, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi paid a courtesy call on Mr. Bounleua Sinxayvoravong, Governor of Bank of the Lao PDR (BOL), on the occasion of her assumption of duty. Both sides discussed the cooperation between Bank of the Lao PDR and Bank of Thailand (BOT). The Governor of BOL also informed that he recently visited Thailand and had a bilateral meeting with the Governor of BOT. Other matters discussed with the Governor included Lao government’s fiscal and monetary policies for economic recovery, ways and means to promote  foreign direct investments and strengthen SMEs capacities, as well as cooperation on human resource development.
