On 25 April 2023, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs. Viengthong Siphandone on the occasion of her assumption of duty. Both sides appreciated the close cooperation in judicial matters between Thailand and Lao PDR and the frequent exchanges of visit based on the MOU between the Court of Justice of Thailand and the People’s Supreme Court of Lao PDR on the Cooperation in the Matters of Legal, Court and Judicial Administration signed in 2009. During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on further technical cooperation including exchanging best practices, short training courses for judges and officers of the Administrative Court of Lao PDR, seminars for disseminating legal knowledge related to trade and investment in Lao PDR for Thai private enterprises, as well as providing law scholarships for Laotian students.
