On 26 March 2023, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi and DG Chatchai Viriyavejkul, accompanied by delegates from various authorities visited Khammoune Cement Co., Ltd. (KCL), one of the largest SCG investments in Lao PDR. The investment has contributed to sustainable economic growth of both countries and also supported job creation and income to local community. KCL has several CSR projects to help improve quality of living for local communities in Khammoune province. KCL has conducted its business with responsibility by using environmental-friendly technology for its mining and cement production. During the visit, SCGJWD also gave an overview on its logistic business using the route that connects Thailand, Lao PDR and Vietnam.
