On 28 March 2023, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi met with Mr. Saysamone Kouanmeuangchanh, Vice President of Savannakhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  Both sides recognized the importance of human resource development and discussed the possibility of providing capacity building to entrepreneurs in Savannakhet to enhance their business skills, especially, knowledges and skills necessary for SMEs. In the discussion, Ambassador also expressed serious concerns towards deforestation as well as the slash-and-burn practice for cassava cultivation, which has created detrimental effect on properties of soil and produced air pollution (PM 2.5) that critically impacts health of people in surrounding areas.
