On 3 April 2023, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs. Baykham Khattiya on the occasion of her assumption of duty. Both sides appreciated the fruitful and friendly relations between Thailand and Lao PDR, especially labor cooperation. During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on facilitating visa application process, labor protection for more than 130,000 legal Laotian workers in Thailand, capacity building for workers, particularly in hospitality industry, exploring new modes of trilateral cooperation for capacity building and skills development for workers, as well as trainings related to disaster prevention and mitigation.
