On 7 April 2023, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi presided over a Buddhist and merit-making ceremony to celebrate the Thai Songkran Festival and Lao New Year 2023 at the Thai Residence, Vientiane. The Buddhist ceremony was conducted by the Lord Abbot of the Ong Teu Mahavihan Temple and was attended by members of Team Thailand and representatives from the Thai private sector in Vientiane.
