Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Vilayvong Bouddakham, the Governor of Champasak Province on the occasion of her assumption of duty, accompanied by Mr. Atipat Rojanapaibulya, Consul-General of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Savannakhet as well as the officer from the Royal Thai Embassy.

Both sides appreciate the fruitful and friendly relations between Thailand and Lao PDR and between border provinces of both countries, reflecting through close cooperation in various dimensions between Ubon Ratchathani and Champasak, bilateral trade and quality investment from Thailand, as well as development cooperation projects in Champasak supported by TICA, particularly in health, education,  and agricultural sectors. Ambassador also discussed ways to further promote border trade and provide capacity building assistance for entrepreneurs in Champassak to enhance  business skills  required for trade and investment opportunity.
