On 1 April 2026, H.E. Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs. Sisay Leudetmounsone, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission, upon assuming her duty as the Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR. Both sides exchanged views on human resource development in the public sector. Currently, the Lao PDR collaborates with the Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC) of Thailand in the field of the development and management of government personnel. Furthermore, the Organization Commission of the Lao PDR expressed its interest in promoting cooperation and knowledge exchange on the topic of local administration. H.E. The Ambassador expressed her full support for such initiative, noting that Thailand’s long-standing experience in various levels of local administration could be beneficial for the development of similar administrative systems in the Lao PDR.
