On 21 February 2025, H.E. Ms. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Lao PDR, hosted a dinner to bid farewell to H.E. Dr. Anoulak Kittikhoun, former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mekong River Commission (MRC) Secretariat, as he completed his tenure as CEO of MRC, and to welcome H.E. Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, the newly appointed CEO for MRC. The dinner was also attended by H.E. Mr. Hulkrang Phanang, Ambassador of Cambodia to the Lao PDR, H.E. Mr Phonepaseuth Phouliphanh, Secretary-General of the Lao National Mekong Committee Secretariat, H.E. Ms. Santisouk Phimphachanh, Director General of the Department of Energy Policy and Planning, Mr. Phetsamone Keovongvichith, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organization, and Mr. Phan Minh Chien, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Vietnam to the Lao PDR. Ambassador Sriswasdi expressed appreciation to Dr. Kittikhoun for close cooperation and collaboration as well as his significant initiatives for MRC during his tenure as CEO. She congratulated Ms. Santipitaks and confirmed Thailand’s readiness to continue working closely with MRC under leadership of Ms. Santipitaks.
