On 16 June 2025, H.E. Ms. Morakot Srisawasdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs. Phongsamouth Anlavan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR, to congratulate her on assuming her new duties. In the meeting, both sides discussed plan of activities jointly organized by both sides on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Thailand and Lao PDR, promotion of development cooperation under the bilateral Technical Cooperation Plan, as well as theFinal Casting Ceremony of the Fifth Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge (Bueng Kan – Bolikhamxay) on 6 June 2025 and the possibility to connect Savannakhet Airport to Mukdahan Province.
