On 7 May 2024, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Mr. Khampheng Saysompheng, Governor of Houaphanh Province, to discuss ways and means to strengthening the bilateral cooperation between Thailand and Lao PDR. In the meeting, both sides discussed various issues including the promotion of Thai investment in Houaphanh, infrastructure development, development cooperation, alternative development programme to address narcotics problem, sustainable tourism, conservation of local culture, especially, traditional textile arts.
