Ceremony and activities on the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua on 28 July 2023

 

On 17 July 2023, H.E. Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Lao PDR, together with Team Thailand, officials and staffs of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane and spouses organised the following ceremonies and activity in celebration of the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua on 28 July 2023;

 

1. Ceremony to mark His Majesty the King’s Birthday

H.E. Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi led Team Thailand, officials of the Embassy and spouses in a ceremony to mark the 71st Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King at the Residence. The ceremony included prayer for His Majesty’s good health and long reign, reading of the citation before His Majesty’s portrait, and signing of well-wishes book to express gratitude to his Majesty the King.

 

2. Merit-making ceremony

H.E. Ambassador together with Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses offered meals and essentials to monks at Ong Teu Mahawihan Temple. The Buddhist merit-making ceremony was conducted by Venerable Phouangprasert Poumavong, the abbot of the Temple and the Director of Ong Teu Sangha College.

 

3. The activity of the Royal Thai Volunteers at the Residence of the Thai Ambassador

The Royal Thai Embassy organised an activity of the Royal Thai Volunteers by donating blood for the Lao Red Cross Society. The Embassy’s officials and staff together with Team Thailand, spouses, and representatives of the Thai Business Association in Lao PDR (TBAL) donated blood on this auspicious occasion with a total of 42 participants.
