Ms. Jirusaya Birananda, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane, together with Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane and spouses participated in the ceremony on the occasion of the Memorial Day of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn on 23 October 2025. The ceremony included;
1. Alms Giving Ceremony
Chargé d'Affaires together with Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses offered alms to 9 Buddhist monks at the Residence of the Thai Ambassador. The alms giving ceremony was presided over by Venerable Phouangprasert Poumavong, the Abbot of Ong Teu Voramahawihan Temple and the Director of Ong Teu Sangha College.
2. Ceremony to Commemorate His Majesty King Chulalongkorn
Chargé d'Affaires led Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses in a ceremony to commemorate His Majesty King Chulalongkorn. The ceremony included wreath-laying ceremony, citation before His Majesty’s portrait to express gratitude, and an observation of moment of silence for 57 seconds in remembrance of His Majesty. His Majesty King Chulalongkorn passed away on 23 October 1910, at the age of 57.
3. Activity of the Royal Thai Volunteers
Chargé d'Affaires together with Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses organised an activity of the Royal Thai Volunteers by hosting lunch for 44 students and teachers at the Visually Impaired School in Vientiane. PTT (LAO) Co., Ltd. also provided 60 cups of beverages in which Mr. Peravej Na Ranong, Managing Director of PTT (LAO) Co.,Ltd. was also present at the volunteer activity.
