Ceremony on the Occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Thailand’s Father’s Day 5 December 2023

 

On 5 December 2023, H.E. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Lao PDR, together with Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane and spouses organised the following ceremonies on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Thailand’s Father’s Day 5 December 2023;

 

1. Alms Giving CeremonyH.E. Ambassador together with Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses offered alms to Buddhist monks from North That Luang and South That Luang Monasteries at That Luang Stupa, Vientiane. The alms-giving ceremony was presided over by Most Venerable Somphan Duangpanya, the abbot of South That Luang Monastery, and Maha Phousavanh, the vice abbot of North That Luang Monastery.

 

2. Flower-offering Ceremony

H.E. Ambassador led Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses to commemorate His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. The ceremony included flower-offering ceremony and reading of the citation before His Majesty’s portrait.
