Ceremony on the occasion of the Memorial Day of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibhol Adulyadej The Great on 13 October 2023

 

On 10 October 2023, H.E. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Lao PDR, together with Team Thailand, officials and staffs of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane and spouses organised the following ceremonies on the occasion of the Memorial Day of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibhol Adulyadej The Great on 13 October 2023;

 

1. Alms Giving Ceremony

H.E. Ambassador together with Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses offered alms to Buddhist monks at the Residence of the Thai Ambassador. The alms giving ceremony was presided over by Venerable Phouangprasert Poumavong (Ph.D.), the abbot of the Temple and the Director of Ong Teu Sangha College.

 

2. Ceremony to Commemorate His Majesty the Late King Bhumibhol Adulyadej The Great H.E. Ambassador led Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses in a ceremony to commemorate His Majesty King Bhumibhol Adulyadej The Great. The ceremony included a reading of the citation before His Majesty’s portrait to express gratitude and an observation in silence for 89 seconds in tribute to His Majesty.
