On 29 October 2025, at 0955 hours, H.E. Mr. Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR, together with senior officials and representatives from various sectors of the Lao PDR, paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother of the Kingdom of Thailand at the Thai Ambassador’s Residence in Vientiane. H.E. the Prime Minister of the Lao PDR and his entourage were welcomed by Ms. Jirusaya Birananda, Chargé d’ Affaires, a.i., members of team Thailand and Embassy’s officials.

 

H.E. the Prime Minister of the Lao PDR laid a floral wreath, and observed a moment of silence before the royal portrait and signed the Book of Condolences. Following the ceremony, the delegation viewed a set of photos and a documentary highlighting the historical official royal visit to the Lao PDR in 1994 by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (then Royal titles).
