On 15 September 2025, H.E. Ms. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, paid a farewell call on H.E. Mr. Thongly Sisoulith, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union, on the occasion of her completion of tenure at the end of September 2025. Both sides expressed their appreciation for the close cooperation between the two countries and between the Royal Thai Embassy and the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union, particularly the recent project in which the Embassy supported the study visit of the Union’s delegation to the “Thaidet” project in Northeastern Thailand during 8–10 September 2025.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their close cooperation, especially in the areas of education, vocational training, employment opportunities and income generation for youth.
