On 29 October 2025, at 1015 hours, Mr. Khambay Damlath, Vice President of the National Assembly of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, together with executives of the National Assembly of the Lao PDR paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother of the Kingdom of Thailand at the Thai Ambassador’s Residence in Vientiane. The Vice President of the National Assembly and his entourage were welcomed by Ms. Jirusaya Birananda, Chargé d’ Affaires, a.i., members of Team Thailand and Embassy’s officials.

The Vice President observed a moment of silence before the royal portrait and signed the Book of Condolence. Following the ceremony, the delegation viewed a set of photos and a documentary highlighting the historical official royal visit to the Lao PDR in 1994 by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (then Royal titles).
