On June 1, 2023, Mr. Nantiwat Samart, Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, together with Ms. Jirasaya Birananda, Minister of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane and representatives from the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), visited the “Learning Center for the Development of Sustainable Agriculture Based on the Application of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP)” at Dong Kham Chang Technical – Agricultural College, Vientiane Capital. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Jittikorn Sisanon, Director of the Cente and college’s executives and teachers.

The Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs visited various learning center operation sites and discussed possible future cooperation, including the possibility of transferring know-how from Thai private sector in Lao PDR and promoting local community participation. The Center aims to become a learning center for sustainable agro-tourism and being a source for agricultural learning in Vientiane Capital.
