The Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 28th July 2024
 
H.E. Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Lao PDR, together with Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane and spouses organised the following ceremonies and activities in celebration on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 28th July 2024:
 
1. Merit-making ceremony
H.E. Ambassador together with Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses offered alms to 10 Buddhist monks at the Residence of the Thai Ambassador. The alms giving ceremony was presided over by Most Venerable Maha Veth Masenai, the abbot of Si Saket Temple and Vice President of the Central Buddhist Fellowship Organisation of Lao PDR.
 
2. Ceremony to mark His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary and Ceremony of Taking Oath of Allegiance
H.E. Ambassador led Team Thailand, officials of the Embassy and spouses in a ceremony to mark His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 28th July 2024 at the Thai Residence. The ceremony included prayer for His Majesty’s good health and long reign, reading of the citation before His Majesty’s portrait, taking oath of allegiance, and signing of well-wishes book to commemorate this auspicious occasion.
 
3. Activity of the Royal Thai Volunteers
H.E. Ambassador together with Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouse, and PTT (LAO) Company Limited jointly organised an activity of the Royal Thai Volunteers at Saysettha District for Disabled People Association. The volunteer activity includes tree planting to improve the landscape of the Association. On this occasion, Mr. Peravej Na Ranong, Managing Director of PTT (LAO) Company Limited, presented a contribution of 50 million kip (approximately 75,000 baht) to support the repair of the Association’s fence. The Saysettha District for Disabled People Association was established in 2014 to provide support and skills training for the disabled to be able to earn income and be self-sustained.
