On 26 June 2025, Ms. Jirusaya Birananda, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, on behalf of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane, presented a financial contribution of 75,000 Thai Baht to the Lao Para Cycling Federation. The contribution is intended to support the implementation of the Federation’s 2025 work plan, which includes athlete training, preparation camps, participation in training programme in Chiang Mai hosted by the Thai Para Cycling Association,participation in a coach and athlete training programme in the Republic of Korea, and participation in qualifying events to select national representatives for the ASEAN Para Games, which will be hosted by Thailand in Nakhon Ratchasima province later this year. The contribution was formally received by Ms. Manithda Sithimolada, President of the Lao Para Cycling Federation and Country Coordinator of the United Nations Volunteer Programme in the Lao PDR, and Mr. Sitthiphon Phasouk, Secretary-General and National Coordinator of the Federation. This support forms part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and is intended to inspire and promote rights of person with disabilities as well as Lao youth.
