On 11 December 2024, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR, to congratulate him on assuming his new duties. Ambassador confirmed readiness to support his role in enhancing the relations between Thailand and Lao PDR. In the meeting, both sides also discussed the preparation of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Lao PDR in 2025, human resources development, subregional cooperation, and cooperation to suppress illicit drugs trafficking and other transnational crimes.
