On 3 December 2024, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi paid a courtesy call on H.E. Prof. Dr. Boviengkham VONGDARA, Minister of Technology and Communications of the Lao PDR, to discuss and advance cooperation on various aspects of digital collaboration between Thailand and the Lao PDR, based on the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Post, Telecommunications, Information and Communication Technology and Digital Technology agreed by both sides in 2022. Key areas of cooperation discussed during the Meeting includes digital economy, human resource development in the digital sector, exchange of best practice and experiences to enhance capacity and address digital challenges for the public sector, as well as the use of technology to promote sustainable development, particularly in agriculture and disaster prevention. Furthermore, the meeting emphasised on strengthening cooperation and the exchange of information to enhance joint Cybersecurity efforts. Both sides also discussed the plan to organise activities to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations Between Thailand and the Lao PDR in 2025
