On 21 April 2023, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Inlavanh Keobounphanh, President of the Lao Women's Union, on the occasion of the former’s assumption of duty. Both sides valued the close and cordial relations between Thailand and the Lao PDR. They agreed to continue collaboration on skills development, especially for women, and to increase job opportunities in order to improve the economic situation in the Lao PDR. Ambassador Sriswasdi also reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to further enhance cooperation on the remedy for vulnerable groups, particularly women and children that fall victims of violence and human trafficking.
