On 6 March 2025, H.E. Ms. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR joined the official launch of Women’s Leadership Mentoring Programme at the British Embassy in Vientiane. The Mentoring Programme, organized by the British Embassy in Vientiane, aims to provide opportunities to selected young women in the Lao PDR to learn from female ambassadors and high-level representatives of international organizations, including UNDP, UNRC, UNICEF, IMO, FAO and ADB. The Programme also includes opportunities for the young women to have 4-6 personalized mentoring sessions with the female leaders throughout the year 2025. Ambassador Sriswasdi has accepted to be a “mentor” for a candidate from Foreign Affairs Department of Xiangkhouang province.
