On 18 November 2024, H.E. Mr. Mark Gallagher, Ambassador of the European Union to Lao PDR paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi upon his assumption of duty.  In the meeting, both sides discussed ways and means to promote trade and investment in the Lao PDR as well as issues on anti-money laundering, drugs suppression and partnership  cooperation between ASEAN and the European Union.
