On 14 August 2026, Ms. Chana Sindhvananda, Chargé d’Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane, attended the Inclusion Champion Awards 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Vientiane. The event was co-organised by the Royal Thai Embassy, the Ministry of Health of the Lao PDR and the Embassy of Canada, Luxembourg, Australia, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the European Union as well as the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation to the Lao PDR, to raise awareness of the importance of inclusive public health services for people of all groups and backgrounds.

The opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Phayvanh Keophaserth, Vice Minister of Health of the Lao PDR, as well as ambassadors and chargé d’affaires from various countries. The Royal Thai Embassy also invited Dr. Jakkrapatara Boonruang, Medical Team Lead of the HIV Research and Innovation Institute (IHRI), to participate as a panelist in the Inclusive Health Panel Discussion in order to share Thailand’s experiences and exchange views with other panelists and participants on promoting inclusive, accessible, and equitable public health services for all.
