Contributions from Thai people to flood-affected people in Lao PDR

On 24 August 2023, Ambassador Morakot Srisawasdi together with the representatives of Mr. Wichai Chaimongkol, the Secretary-General of the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), Mr. Phinyo Khosit, Director of ONCB Region 4, and Mr. Krailert Daoruang, Director of ONCB Region 3, handed over the contribution from various sectors in Thailand to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phouthone Muangpak, the President of the Lao Red Cross Society. The contributions  include clothes, drinking water, rice, canned-fish, dried food, soy milk, daily use items, medicines and other necessary items. Lao Red Cross Society will distribute these contributions to the people in various flood-affected areas throughout the Lao PDR.  

The Royal Thai Embassy received the above generous contributions from  various sectors in Thailand, namely the ONCB, Nong Waeng Temple (Khon Kaen), Pho Chai Temple (Nong Khai), Pothisomphon Temple (Udon Thani), Lao Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Ltd and Panpan Shop (Khon Kaen) with the cross-border facilitation by Nong Khai relevant authorities.
