On 8 December 2023, Monsoon Wind Power Co., Ltd delivered electrical equipment and installed electrical system, such as electrical outlets, fans, and lighting in 9 classrooms, for Pheermai Primary School in Xekong Province, Lao PDR. The hand-over ceremony was attended by Mr. Leklai Sivilay, Governor of Xekong Province, Mrs. Kimfueang Hueangmany, Headmaster of Pheermai Primary School and the 2023 Princess Maha Chakri Awardee from the Lao PDR, Xekong provincial authorities, and teachers at Pheermai Primary School.

 

This contribution derived from the meeting between the Princess Maha Chakri Awards Foundation committee members and the Thai private sector in the Lao PDR held on 4 October 2023 at the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane. The General Manager of Monsoon Wind Power Co., Ltd had learned from the School’s Headmaster that the School needed power supply for its learning activities. The company, therefore, expressed readiness to provide support and assistance to the School by installing electrical system and providing other electrical equipment such as fans and lightings. This cooperation reflects the continued commitment of the Thai private sector in the Lao PDR to support capacity building for human resource and education development in the Lao PDR.
