On 23 February 2024, H.E. Mr. Filomeno Aleixo da Cruz, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to Lao PDR paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Morakot upon his assumption of duty. Both sides discussed the preparation and the roadmap towards the full membership of ASEAN as well as bilateral cooperation on development projects.
