On 5 April 2023, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi paid a courtesy call on H.E. General Chansamone Chanyalath, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, on the occasion of her assumption of duty. Both sides appreciated the fruitful and friendly relations between Thailand and Lao PDR, especially peace and security along the border of both countries. Both sides highly valued cooperation between both armies that already extended to education cooperation and planned to cover medical and nursing trainings in the future. In the discussion, General Chansamone highlighted the priority of the government of Lao PDR to solve economic situation. In response, Ambassador Sriswasdi expressed the Thai side’s readiness to provide supports, especially, via exchanging best practices and experiences.
