On 22 March 2023, Ambasador Morakot Sriswasdi and Mr. Atipat Rojanapaibulya, Consul-General of Royal Thai Consulate-General in Savannakhet accompanied Dr. Sumeth Tantivejakul, Secretary-General of the Chaitpattana Foundation and delegates to the Paksong Research and Development Project on Highland Agriculture at Nonghin, Paksong, Champasak, Lao PDR. Initiated by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, this project is a cooperation among Chaipattana foundation, Kasetsart University and Champasak University to establish a highland agriculture development project in Champasak to conduct research on growing winter plants, i.e., strawberry, cape gooseberry and blackberry, by selecting local species and those successfully grown in the northern part of Thailand, in order to provide a demonstration of highland plantation to Laotian farmers in surrounding areas.
