On 7 August 2024, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi joined a joint border inspection in the area of Nam Keueng Village, Ton Phueng District, Bokeo Province. This inspection was an activity under the framework of the Sub-Committee of the Thai - Lao General Border Committee (Sub-GBC) led by the Director of the Border Affairs Department, Royal Thai Armed Forces and the Acting Director of Military Border  Department of Lao People's Army. Chief of the Bokeo Provincial Police Headquarter gave the briefing on the situation in the area and the meeting discussed ways and means to strengthen the prevention of illicit drugs trafficking via Nam Keueng Village.
