On 7 August 2024, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi visited the situation room for monitoring forest fires and observed the training for officers of Bokeo's Department of Natural Resources and Environment on  the operation of the system. The situation rooms were set up in two provinces of Lao PDR, Bokeo and Xayaboury, as part of the cooperation under the CLEAR Sky Strategy in order to resolve transboundary haze and air pollution problems in a sustainable manner. The Border Affairs Department, Royal Thai Armed Forces  supported the installation of the equipment and the Department of Pollution Control, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment provided the training to the officers.
