On 25 March 2026, H.E. Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, presented a basket of flowers to H.E. Mr. Thongsavan Phomvihane, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR, to congratulate the latter upon being appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister. Both sides also expressed the mutual gratification for the success of the State Visit of Their Majesties the King and the Queen of Thailand to the Lao PDR on 16–18 March 2026, which serves as the significant milestone in the relations between the two countries.
