On March 11, 2026, H.E. Ms. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Thongsavan Phomvihane, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR. Both sides expressed satisfaction for the flourishing Thai-Lao relations throughout the past 75 years. In the year 2026, the State Visit to the Lao PDR by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand will be the significant milestone in the bilateral relations. On this occasion, H.E. the Ambassador reaffirmed her commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation, building upon the foundation of the excellent neighbourly relations between the two nations.
