On 3 September 2025, H.E. Ms. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR), paid a courtesy and farewell call on H.E.Associate Professor Dr. Thongsalith Mangnomek, Minister of Education and Sports of the Lao PDR, on the occasion of her completion of tenure in September 2025.

 

During the meeting, both sides expressed their appreciation for the past activities and cooperation on education and sports such as scholarships, the organisationsof Science Caravan, the handover of Learning Center for Sustainable Development in Agriculture based on the Application of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in six provinces of the Lao PDR, and support for education and sports for persons with disabilities in the Lao PDR.

They also discussed and exchange views on ways to advance and promote cooperation in these areas, including the provision of additional undergraduate scholarships, support for education, training, and vocational training for persons with disabilities in the Lao PDR
