On 17 October 2024, H.E. Ms. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Lao PDR, and Mr. Patt Padhamachit, Consul-General of Thailand to Savannakhet, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Poxay Khaikhamphithoun, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR. Mr. Patt Padhamachit, Consul-General of Thailand to Savannakhet, presented his Letter of Commission to H.E. Mr. Poxay Khaikhamphitoun, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR.

 

On this occasion, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR warmly welcomed and congratulated the Consul-General on his official appointment and reassured Lao PDR’s readiness to support the mission of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in strengthening the relations between Thailand and the Lao PDR in all dimensions. Both sides discussed activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Lao PDR in 2025.
