On 23 August 2025, H.E. Ms. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador, together with officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane, members of Team Thailand in Vientiane, and their families participated in the ASEAN Family Day 2025 at Patuxay Park. The event was held to commemorate the 58th anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN and to raise public awareness about ASEAN. It was co-organised by the Embassies of ASEAN Member States in Vientiane, the Embassy of Timor-Leste in Vientiane, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR. The event was attended by Ambassadors, Chargé d'affaires and officials from the Embassies of the ten ASEAN Member States and Timor-Leste, along with their families, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR, led by Mr. Bounthavy Boutsaseng, Deputy Permanent Secretary, and Mr. Sengpraarthid Snookphone, Deputy Director-General of the ASEAN Department, and other Ministry officials.

The activity aimed to foster closer relations, promote networking and building up unity among colleagues following the aspiration of ASEAN. In addition to an informal gathering, participants from 11 countries also took part in recreational activities, including a walk around Patuxay, aerobic exercise, lucky draw, cultural performances from various countries, and a potluck breakfast.
