On 21 August 2025, H.E. Ms. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, paid a farewell call on Dr. Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, President of Lao Front for National Development, on the occasion of her completion of tenure at the end of September 2025. Both sides expressed their appreciation for the close cooperation between the Royal Thai Embassy and the Lao Front for National Development, particularly in the field of Buddhism, which has been continuously fostered over the years. Ambassador Sriswasdi also reaffirmed the commitment of the Royal Thai Government and the Royal Thai Embassy to further strengthening cooperation with the Government of the Lao PDR and the Lao Front for National Development.

On this occasion, Ambassador Sriswasdi also extended her congratulations on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Lao Front for National Development, noting that Thailand and the Lao PDR are likewise commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
