On 2 September 2026, H.E. Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Khamlavanh Chanthalavanh, President of the Lao Red Cross, on the occasion of her assumption of duties. During the meeting, both sides expressed their appreciation for the longstanding and close cooperation between the Royal Thai Embassy and the Lao Red Cross, particularly in organising the joint blood donation activities and providing assistance and relief supplies in response to various disasters. They also welcomed the successful outcome of the 5^th Thailand - Lao Conference between the Thai Red Cross Society and the Lao Red Cross, which was hosted by the Thai Red Cross Society in Bangkok in May 2026.
