On 9 September 2026, H.E. Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, and Mr. Samret Raungrit, Managing Director (MD) of Khammouane Cement Co., Ltd. (KCL), together with representatives of the Royal Thai Embassy and KCL, met with H.E. Mr. Thongly Sisoulith, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union, to present financial support and construction materials totaling 450,000 THB for the renovation of a school building at Thongnami Primary School in Pakkading District, Bolikhamxay Province. The school is located in the Thai - Lao border area and has more than 1,054 students. The Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane contributed construction materials worth 350,000 THB, while KCL provided financial support of 100,000 THB. Ambassador Krongkanit and MD Samret expressed their confidence that the renovation of the school building will help improve the quality of teaching and learning and contribute to the sustainable development of human resource in the Lao PDR.
