On 10 June 2026, H.E. Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Khamphan Phommathat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice of the Lao PDR, upon assuming her duty as the Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR. Both sides exchanged views on judicial cooperation between the two countries, particularly between Ministries of Justice, which have signed the Plan of Action (2025 - 2027). In addition, both parties discussed issues concerning the protection of each other's nationals with a specific focus on individuals currently undergoing judicial proceedings.
