On 29 May 2026, H.E. Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, welcomed Mr. Ekkasith Vanmany, Director of the Well Organization, and his team at the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane. Mr. Ekkasith paid a courtesy call to express appreciation to the Embassy for supporting venue arrangements for the “Well & Friends Fest 2026,” held under the theme “Where Healing Begins.”
The event was organized on 23 May 2026 at the Lao-Japan Budo Center in Vientiane Capital and attracted more than 450 participants. The program sought to raise awareness of mental health issues among youth in the Lao PDR through a range of activities, including specialized counseling sessions, the promotion of safe and supportive spaces, efforts to reduce stigma and misconceptions surrounding mental health, and initiatives encouraging self-care and emotional well-being. The program also featured Thai guest speaker Mr. Pataradanai Setsuwan (Koen K-OTIC), a psychotherapist and founder of the “Joodpakjai” initiative, which promotes safe spaces for emotional healing, self-expression, and mental wellness support.
