On 3 July 2026, H.E. Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs. Suansavanh Viyaket, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Lao PDR. Both sides exchanged views on promoting cultural and tourism cooperation, including achieving the target of three million tourist visits between the two countries annually, enhancing the capacity of personnel in the hospitality sector, and promoting sustainable tourism.
