On 17 February 2026 at 0830 hrs., H.E. Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, presented the Letters of Credence to    H.E. Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, at the Presidential Palace (Hor Kham) in Vientiane Capital.

The presentation of the Letters of Credence marked her official assumption of duty as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. On this occasion, Ms. Jirusaya Birananda, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, together with Colonel Suriyan Jiewcharoen, Defence and Army Attaché, and Mr. Pavat Akarapremakun, Third Secretary, were also in attendance.

During the courtesy call, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening and advancing the longstanding and close relations between Thailand and the Lao PDR at all levels and across all areas of cooperation, in the spirit of close friendship and good neighbourliness.
