On 25 July 2026, H.E. Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, welcomed Air Chief Marshal Boonlert Andara, Special Advisor to the Royal Thai Air Force, and the delegation during the visit to the Lao PDR. Both sides exchanged views       on military cooperation between Thailand and the Lao PDR, including high-level official exchanges and joint military trainings, especially between the Air Forces of the two countries noting that the Lao PDR officially elevated its Air Force Department to the Lao People's Liberation Army Air Force in 2019.
